Cool off with this refreshing Strawberry Lemonade. Feel free to substitute different berries for the strawberries for a variety of lemonade flavours.

2 cups water
1 cup granulated sugar
2 cups strawberries, hulled and halved
1 cup lemon juice
2 cups ice water or club soda
Heat 2 cups water and 1 cup sugar In a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Let cool to room temperature.
Place strawberries and lemon juice in a blender, and puree until smooth. Add the sugar mixture, and stir to combine. At this point, you can strain it, if you like, to remove any small pieces of strawberry that remain. This step is optional. Pour into a pitcher.
Add the remaining ice water or club soda, and stir. Serve over ice, kick back, and enjoy!
Looking for an adult version? Add 2 tablespoons of rum to each glass before serving. Stir & enjoy.
