WOW – this sounds like an excellent cookbook. Thanks for hosting the contest! If I win, I would like to make a BBQ burger (hamburger with BBQ sauce and caramelized onions).

I don’t actually own a microwave, but I would get one if it meant 5 minutes to gluten free baked goods. I’d use my bun to make a BLAST – Bacon, Lettuce, Avocado, Sprouts and (heirloom) Tomato.

This book sounds awesome. What a great idea to have a bun in 5 minutes. If I won this book, I would use the bun for a pulled pork sand which. Yum!

The cookbook looks fantastic. I usually do not use a bun, but would love an easy recipe. I am the only one gluten free, so it cost to much to buy bread that I only use. This way I could make a bun for me as well.

Wow this book would be awesome for my sister. She is a single mom with celiac disease and she doesnt like to take the time to cook and bake stuff for herself. She could use this time saving recipes to make stuff for herself while making meals for herself and her daughter. I love trying new recipes and making gluten free treats for her. We are always having family bbqs together and this bun recipe would be perfect when we try a new recipe I found for bbqed turkey burgers with lettuce, tomatoes and sweet potato chipolte cream sauce! Yummy, Thanks for posting this recipe!

One thing I miss about being GF is the convenience of having quick foods available–including hamburger buns. This sounds nearly perfect. Gluten free AND fast! Thanks for sharing!

I would make a straightforward BLT because right now is the peak of tomato season and I have all these delicious heirloom tomatoes. I’d probably use the golden jubilee tomato or the black brandywine. The recipe looks awesome!

Im not so sure of the cornmeal in the burger bun. Cornmeal in my sandwich bread is not my “thing”. That said, I think I’d try it with a turkey burger! The first two photographs of yours almost got me convinced that I need to buy this book though. I would totally make chocolate cake and corn bread. Awesome review!

I would add a T.spoon of sharp cheddar to the hamburger bun, and make a bacon cheese burger topped with grilled onions and lots of ketchup for my 15 year old son.

Looks pretty amazing! What a time saver! My boy is a big fan of chicken sandwiches-so it would be gf breaded chicken (then he would load it with ketchup and tabasco!)

I would make a super yummy veggie sandwich layered with cream cheese, cucumber slices, a whole lotta sprouts, tomato, sharp white cheddar, and a couple slices of bacon (I know….not veggie now!)…so yummy though!

I would love to make a portabello burger on this bun with caramelized onion and Swiss cheese and some honey garlic BBQ sauce.
The recipes you’ve shown looks awesome. I can’t believe that there isn’t any flour in the Hamburger Bun recipe. How simple is that!

I would love to have a REAL hamburger for the first time in two years! I usually don’t mind just eating the burger, but sometimes it would be nice to have a burger with all the fixings:).

I am seriously tempted. Like you said, this is a great idea for those that have just one GF person in the house (in our case it is my daughter).
I think we would make BBQ beef or chicken. My daughter would love that!

I’d use a single recipe to make two smaller buns. Then I’d make little hamburgers for my 3-year-old celiac twins. They prefer just meat and ketchup–lots of ketchup.

I own a microwave I have wondered if GF baking could be done in the microwave. This book would help solve my problem I am a full-time student and don’t have the time to bake. I would use it to for all my baking. I live in Texas and it has been over 100 degrees for 2 months and counting. I really miss home baked items. I have been making and eating things that don’t require using my stove because it makes my house hotter.

I am a single mom with celiac , I find it hard to cook for just myself, I hardly bake anything cause most of it ( with exception ) my daughter won’t even try. This cook book would be soooo awesome for me. We love baconators from wendys … we love to make our own version at home , so bacon , all beef patties, mayo, ketchup and cheese …yummmmm I am hungry now !!!

I would probably make your typical all-American cheeseburger…it’s one of the thing I miss the most! Grilled hamburger patty with melted cheese, pickles, tomatoes, maybe some guacamole…yum!

This book sounds great – especially for quick fixes!
It is a toss up for me of what I would make first – either a grilled cheese sandwich OR a Brazilian X-tudo – hamburger patty, egg (cooked in the form of an omelet), bacon, cheese, tomato, lettuce, canned corn and potato sticks! Sounds weird but don’t mock it til you try it! You can also add mayo and ketchup. mmm

This looks pretty fab I must say. I want to do gluten free for my Autistic boys but they love their bread textures! I try to avoid “bready” when I can and Bob’s red Mill gluten free mix works for me! This is awsome. Everytime my husband smokes brisket I eat it with corn tortillas while he eats a great big nice barbecue sandwich. I can’t wait to try it. I will be able to eat a nice barbecue sandwich like him. And what I like the most is if I want another one, I can just make one real quick. Isn’t that great, a hamburger bun in minutes!

Would probably make a basil pesto,roasted red pepper and mozarella cheese with a chicken burger or sliced chicken deli meat for the sandwhich/burger; with a nice garden salad on the side 😉

OK, Jeanine, I think I’d like to try a sandwich on this bun…mayo, peanut butter and banana. Yeah, I know it sounds kinda (gross) interesting, but it was a favorite of mine while growing up and I’d love to find a spongy, moist bread to have it again. And my hat is always off to Roben Ryberg! She’s one of my all-time GF heros! Her cookbooks have made life a lot nicer for my family over the years. Happy baking! T

I’d have to make my favourite sandwich, introduced to me by my boyfriend 🙂
One side of the bun is slathered in butter, the other side is slathered in mayo which has been mixed with cilantro, ground pepper and lemon juice. Then you put on a baked chicken breast and slices of fresh cucumber, and slice on the diagonal.
Sandwiches are always better cut on the diagonal. Corner to corner!

I just found out about this website last week! I was searching for cinnamon buns and found this amazing blog! I’m so excited! I just found out at the beginning of the year I am gluten intolerant and I was pretty sure I would never have yummy biscuits or rolls (which is a MUST in the south)! Now I have made myself some yummy desserts and breads! Can’t wait to try other stuff!
This book sounds amazing! What is extra great is I can just make one or two so quickly! I cook for just myself so it is always rough having to make a huge batch of something and freezing it. This would really help!
If I had a hamburger bun right now I would make a beef patty with strips of cayenne crusted bacon, bleu cheese crumples, mixed greens, a slice of tomato, and bleu cheese dressing (I love bleu cheese)!

Yum! I’d slap a plain old grass-fed beef patty on that bun and pile it with grilled onions, a couple of jalapeno slices, dijon mustard, ketchup, Spectrum mayo, a tomato slice, and bread & butter pickle slices. Man, now I’m hungry again!

What an awesome sounding cook book! Our favorite way to eat hamburgers is to grill them and top with minced garlic, pepper jack cheese, and pineapple ring. That’s what I would use the bun for! Yummy!

I would make my favorite stuffed burgers!! They are stuffed with sun-dried tomatoes, applewood smoked bacon, and gorgonzola cheese cooked over natural charcoal!

Made this bun several times now…. using banana instead of applesauce. I may freeze some applesauce in ice cube trays for this recipe. Still not too sweet… Easy! Have to agree with topping it with a bit of honey as a treat. After 5 years I have gotten used to burgers without buns … just wrapped in a lettuce leaf!

I have limited mobility because of severe arthritis. Making food in 5 minutes in the microwave and in small amounts so I do not eat too much or waste it sounds really fantastic. This a book that will help me very much.

I would make a chicken and avacado sandwich. Sometimes I really crave a sandwhich and it is nice to know that it could take as little as 2minutes to do it. I am going to give this recipe a try.
