My Mom shared this recipe for this great comfort food, delicious Beef Stroganoff with Hamburger. It sounds perfect for those days when you get home late, but don’t want to do take-out or a sandwich. Serve over noodles or mashed potatoes with a side of veggies, and you have a great satisfying meal.

Beef Stroganoff with Hamburger
Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 can mushrooms, drained (1 cup sliced fresh mushroom)
- 1 can gluten-free cream of mushroom soup
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 1/2 teaspoons gluten-free Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup sour cream

A great meal idea Jeanine, esp for these cold and rainy, soggy days!
Let’s just hope that ‘chance of snow’ will not happen!!

Hi, just wondering where you can find gluten free mushroom soup? I live in Kelowna BC & have been looking in BC as well as Washington for mushroom soup cant seem to find any, really missing my stroganoff, especially now that I have a bunch of elk burger in my freezer 🙂 Thanks for any suggestions you may have.

Hi Debbie, I have used the “No Name” (yellow can) Low Fat Cream of Mushroom soup without a problem. It doesn’t specify gluten-free, but it is no gluten added. Here is a homemade version though: http://www.food.com/recipe/gluten-free-condensed-cream-of-mushroom-soup-507027

It was our first time trying this recipe. It was delicious. We will definitely do it again. Wal-Mart has gluten free cream of mushroom soup. I just added some parsley and cooked it over gluten free elbows.
