What a great week of ice pops! I’m thankful that Manitoba is having beautiful summer weather this week. Getting ‘rid’ or a lot of popsicles when it’s +30°C is much easier than when it’s -30°C. Today’s ice pop recipe is so simple, and so easy, but extremely delicious and healthy. The perfect cool-me-down treat for those hot summer days. I call them Fruit Salad Popsicles. It’s not so much a recipe as it is a suggestion, which really, is what a recipe is. You’re welcome to alter and omit things as you please, to suit your tastes and your needs. Use your favorite, in-season fruit, and either layer it, or jumble it all together. The possibilities are endless!
Have you entered to WIN the Summertime prize pack so you can make your own frozen pops too? I’ve loved seeing the flavour suggestions from you guys, keep them coming! You have until Sunday, June 30th to enter, the winner will be announced on July 1, 2013.
One winner will win a Norpro Ice Pop Maker, 200 Wooden Treat Sticks to get you going, and either “Top Pops” by Emily Zaiden, a book with 55 all-natural frozen treat recipes OR “The Everything Guide to Living Gluten-Free” written by me.
I bought myself these items, and will provide them to ONE lucky winner in either the US or Canada. I’ve begun using the ice pop mold a few weeks ago, and LOVE it. I love the classic look, the lid that hold the wooden sticks in place, and the size of the pops, similar to store-bought pops. Plus, since the pops use wooden sticks instead of plastic ones, you don’t have to wait until you’ve eaten them all before making another batch. The book, “Top Pops,” contains 55 simple recipes for you to make frozen treats at home. Not only is there a variety of recipes, but they can also serve as a great starting point for creating your own recipes. You have the choice of either the “Top Pops” book, or the book that I wrote while sitting beside the pool last summer, “The Everything Guide to Living Gluten-free.”
To enter, visit THIS POST and use the Rafflecopter after the recipe.
*Open to residents of Canada & the US. Enter each day to win, contest runs from 7:00 a.m. Monday, June 24th until 11:59 p.m. Sunday, June 30th. One winner will be selected using random.org.
