Looks good to me, Jeanine!
I make something very similar called Beef Louise: Mix together 1 can cream of mushroom soup, 1 envelope onion soup mix, and 1 cup red wine. Pour over stew beef, cover tightly, and bake for 3 hours at 300º. Easy and perfect on a chilly night served over noodles. (I imagine 3 hours on high in a slow cooker would work too…)
I hope the warmth finds you all soon. We keep bouncing back and forth between sunny and hot and rainy and cold. But anything’s better than snow!
Take care, my friend!

@Bryn The Fat Reduced no name brand at Superstore (for those in Canada) is gluten-free. However, I've been wanting to try this recipe for a quick at-home version of cream of mushroom soup: http://www.salad-in-a-jar.com/family-recipes/make-your-own-condensed-cream-of-mushroom-soup-in-less-than-5-minutes HTH!

Which dry onion soup mix you use that is gluten free? It is not the Knorr onion soup mix, is it?

Hi Sandy, I actually use a ‘no name’ brand dry onion soup mix.

It is common courtesy to credit the inspiration for a recipe. I would expect credit to myself and AllRecipes for the original version of “Sweeper Steak”. You have only made minor modifications and represent that this is your own creation. Very disappointing.

Sorry, Dan, if you had looked through my other recipes, I usually include an ‘inspired by’, ‘adapted from’, or outright ‘Source: site’. This was merely an oversight, not intentional. When recipes come from allrecipes.com I do not credit the author, merely the site. Credit has been given, thank you for pointing that out.
